Place: Starts and finishes at Rush-Strong School in downtown Strawberry Plains. Strawberry Plains is located about 10 miles east of Knoxville, just off Highway 11E. Click here for directions.

Registration & Entry Fee: Early registration is online only! KTC Members eligible for $5 discount during early and late registration. Day of race registration is $45, and will take place from 7:30 am to 8:45 am in the gym at Rush Strong Elementary School. No KTC discounts or team registration at day of race registration.

Course Description and Highlights: Courses certified: USATF #TN 04007DJR and #TN01034/RH. A lovely scenic and rolling course that meanders through the Holston River Valley with views of Clinch and House Mountains. The 10K course is mostly flat. Course is open to traffic. Course closes after 3 hours 30 minutes.

T-shirts: Long-sleeve. Pre-registered runners receive shirt on race-day. Late Day-of registrants receive shirts while supplies last or at a later date. No t-shirt: deduct $10.

Awards: Award ceremony to be held after each race in the gym of the Rush Strong School. Awards to the top 3 overall male and female. Awards to the top Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), and Senior Grandmasters (60+) Male and Female. Awards to the top Clydesdale (200+ lbs and male) and Athena (150+ lbs and female). Age division awards are three deep. Age divisions begin with 15-19 (no runners under 14 please), then 5 year increments to 80+. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards.

Finisher Medals: Half-Marathon participants will receive a commemorative finisher's medal.

Grand Prix Points: 2013 Grand Prix Points awarded only to Half-Marathon participants.

Refreshments: Post-race refreshments will be provided in the cafeteria for all runners.

Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. HEADPHONES ARE PROHIBITED.

The course winds in and out from under the tree canopy. At times, it is quite exposed, at times protected. Dress wisely.
