Important course inormation: Due to the Cumberland Avenue project, the Pilot Fireball Moonlite Classic route will be the same as 2015. Neyland Drive is the detour route for Cumberland Avenue traffic and cannot be completely closed to traffic. The course will start on Joe Johnson Dr. and head to campus turning right onto Volunteer Boulevard. Participants will follow Volunteer Blvd. to the Andy Holt intersection then turning around a continuing on Volunteer Blvd in the eastbound lanes to Lake Loudoun when the route turns left and down the hill. The course will then turn right onto Neyland Drive and return to Joe Johnson Dr then taking a right onto EJ Chapman Dr. to the finish line.

Registration & Entry Fee (NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS): NEW THIS YEAR! AGE BASED PRICING! 5K Cost for ages 4-12 through June 27 is $10 and cost for ages 13-17 is $15. Age based pricing is only available through early online registration. Deadline to register using this pricing structure is June 27. It is not available for late registration at either packet pickup or on race day. KTC Members are eligible for $5 discount. Cost for ages 18 and over is $20 for the 5K through May 31 then $25 from June 1 to June 27 then $30 at the optional packet pick-ups as well as race day. Little Firecracker Kids Mile cost is $10 through June 27 and $15 during optional packet pick-ups and on race day. Dick's Sporting Goods will host an optional packet pick-up and late registration and date is TBD. No refunds and no transfers. No exceptions. A portion of the proceeds from this years race will go to benefit the The Autism Society of East Tennessee.
Kids Mile: Cost is $10 and includes a shirt and a special prize. Open to kids aged 4-12. Kids race starts at 8:00 PM and kids will run in age groups on the greenway.
T-shirts: Pre-registered runners will receive short-sleeved, gender specific t-shirts on race day or at early packet pickup. Late registrants will receive shirts as supplies last.
Awards: Awards to the top 3 Overall, top Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+) male and female. Awards to the top 3 in each age group as well as Clydesdale (men over 200 lbs.) and Athena (Women over 150 lbs.) Prizes must be picked up race day.
Grand Prix Points: 2016 Grand Prix Series Presented by Threds points will be awarded. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Series Presented by Threds awards, you must be a KTC member and volunteer in at least 3 KTC events. This event is also on the 2016 KTC Grand Prix Series Presented by Threds team competition schedule.
Refreshments: A variety of post-race refreshments and goodies will be provided for participants.
Results: Complete Results will be available at ktc.org or via the mobile app available in the iTunes or Google Play store. In addition, make sure to sign up for results notifications during the registration process that will be sent directly to you or friends and family once you cross the finish line!
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, bicycles and dogs are not allowed on the course. Headphones strongly discouraged.

KTC Safety Policy: KTC's mission is to encourage lifelong physical well-being through running and walking. That is accomplished through a variety of events and programming.
The Knoxville Track Club puts the safety of its participants, spectators, staff and volunteers first. Dangerous weather conditions pose a unique challenge to an event of any size, distance or location.
Therefore, KTC has adopted the following Inclement Weather Policy:
Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, extreme temperatures and humidity. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these conditions on Knoxville Track Club’s website (www.ktc.org), as well as through other available means of communication such as e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and public address announcements.
The Executive Director and Race Director in consultation, when available, with law enforcement, fire/EMS, other medical officers and other officials, will monitor the weather and make a decision if any action will be taken to modify the race. Possible changes include: Altering the start time, altering the course, or in extreme situations cancellation of the event. Visible lightning occurring within 30 minutes of the scheduled start will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 30 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 30-minute increments up to a maximum of 3 delays.
Race personnel reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race or modify the course due to inclement weather. As stated on registration and race pages, there are no refunds or transfers. Participants must abandon the race if ordered to do so by the race personnel, medical staff, fire/paramedics or police personnel.
