Calhouns Ten-Miler
Saturday, January 24, 2009

A cool, cloudy January morning lent contrast to the auspiciously cold recent weather, as KTC's finest gathered in Loudon County for the annual Calhouns Ten-Miler.
Early on the race shaped up to be a duel between a pair of Stews, Moran (EBS jersey) and Ellington (Runners Market).
Hot on their heels were a pair of Team Runners Market Andrews, Press and Baksa.
Those four held on all the way. Stew Ellington claimed the crown, followed by Moran, Baksa, and Press.
Amber Moran, overall female victor, poses for a postrace pic with her commensurately ultrafast hubby.

The unstoppable Kathy Wolski was runner-up.

Jon Lawler took masters honors.
Jeff Colfer (green singlet) was fastest grandmaster.
Malcolm Oliver ran the ten miles fastest of all the veterans division competitors.
Marsha Morton (red top) earned masters female honors.

Thanks to the astute assistance of the Loudon County Sheriff's Department and a host of volunteers, this year's Calhouns Ten Miler was one of the best ever.

See you next year!
