Saturday, September 9, 2006

It was still a bit dark in the sky as the first runners signed up for the Guns'n'Hoses 5K.
The mood was festive as race time approached.
Race Director Ed Leaver had all his ducks in a row, ready for anything.
A stellar crew of volunteers was on hand to ensure a perfect race.
A topnotch first responder crew was also present in case of emergency.
KTC Executive Director Betty Schohl chats with her predecessor, Allan Morgan.
Alan Horton, tuning up for the Chicago Marathon, claimed the overall victory.
Chad Dean of Cleveland TN was about thirty seconds back.
Jasmin Keller was second overall female.
Baker extraordinaire Taylor Poling was third woman.
Marsha Morton was the top masters female.
At last, the finish line.
KTC's finest finish line personnel were working hard to provide a smooth chute experience.
Folks milled around Volunteer Landing after the race.
Elated but tired, everyone enjoyed the nice morning and relatively cool temperatures.  Please join us for our next great race!!
