Carter Mill 10K
Saturday, July 8 2006

It was just getting light out at the Carter Community Pool when the KTC faithful began to assemble for the annual Carter Mill 10K.
This was the first time this race has been directed by the Quick Chicks.
An ace crew of registrars was ready for action.
The braintrust had everything under control to ensure a successful race.
Everyone was ready as tensions ran high.
President Joe sang the National Anthem.
Finally, the gun sounded!
The big crowd leapt into motion.
Just over 31 minutes later, Englishman Michael Green of Atlanta crossed the finish line, destroying the course record.
Three-time winner Bobby Holcombe was runner-up.
Jennifer  Brigati was second overall female in this year's race.
Man about town Walter Collins is surrounded by good-looking women, as usual.
Tall Chick Tracy Rafferty, reputed to be the brains of the outfit, was exemplary as mistress of ceremonies.
Everyone enjoyed lounging around the pool after the race.
Nice job, Quick Chicks!!!
