Greenways 5K
April 3, 2004

A challenging and beautiful 5K course awaited contestants at the annual Greenways 5K put on by the Knoxville Track Club.
KTC Volunteer Coordinator Lea Ann Pool made sure the registration process went smoothly.
Volunteers helped with food preparation so that the runners could rehydrate and refuel themselves after the race.
The pride of the Knoxville Fire Department offered medical assistance if needed.
Two volunteers led the runners through the woods on their bicycles.
A tired dad sits down with an energetic daughter after the race.
The ageless Wendy Williams accepted her award from KTC executive director Allan Morgan.
The tireless Will Skelton once again orchestrated the event on behalf of the Knox Greenways Coalition and the Knoxville Track Club.
Scott Croutier smashed the course record, blazing 15:11 for 5K.
Dan Gannon and Don Cassel were on hand again to entertain the crowd with their eclectic mix of americana.
An aspiring young picker was also ready to belt out a few tunes.
A plethora of healthy basil plants were awarded to the fastest runners of the day.  Please join the KTC at next year's Greenways 5K and at many upcoming events this spring.
