||It was time for the Autumnfest 8K, but a new venue and sponsor greeted runners for the 2003 event staged at Riverside Tavern.|
The gun sounded and nearly 700 runners streamed toward Neyland Drive.
The large crowd powered away, intent on discovering what the new course had in store for them.
Off they go into the wild blue race course.
It didn't take long for Alan Horton to cruise back to the finish line, successfully defending the title he won last year.
Not to be outdone, Leah Moore claimed her third straight Autumnfest crown.
The postrace facilities were terrific. We're really looking forward to next year's Autumnfest 8K and another great party thrown by race director Lee Ann Pool.
